What Happens When You Call

A knowledgeable domestic violence advocate will answer and be available to assist you. Our domestic violence advocates can help you in a number of ways, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Provide a listening ear
  • Provide emotional support
  • Help you create a plan to stay safe
  • Discuss the many services we offer and help you decide what would be the best fit for you
  • Provide information on and referrals to other agencies or community resources
  • Provide information on how you can help a friend or family member who is experiencing domestic violence

All reasons for calling are valid, and our domestic violence advocates are here to help in any way they can.


Most Asked Questions

Is the helpline safe?

Yes, the helpline is safe to call and we will not provide your information to anyone outside of our agency. However, if you call the helpline, it may show up in your phone records that you called. Many phones allow you to remove your call history, but this will not keep your phone call off of your phone bill. 

If you believe someone is monitoring your calls, consider using a friend or family member's phone to call our helpline.

Am I being recorded?

No, your phone call is not being recorded. Your privacy and safety are important to us.

Is our conversation private?

Yes, your conversation is private. The domestic violence advocate will not share any of your information without your permission.
